The idiographic also mentions that each bead contains drug molecules uniformly dispersed in extended release tamper-resistant matrix materials and crushing ER product typically results in plasma spike. The bottom section of the idiographic has a graph that shows the relationship between the two components. The graph shows that the product is controlled by a diffusion mechanism which helps to reduce the amount of time released from the product.
