A diagram of the human brain which shows the different types of preoccupation and anticipation in the brain. The brain is divided into four sections each representing a different type of anticipation.
The first section is labeled "Binge Intoxication" and shows the left side of the brain. The binge is located in the top left corner of the image and is surrounded by a ring of red and green circles. The circles are labeled with the names of the different receptors such as "ACC" "THAL" "VIPFC" "NAC" "OPF" and "HPC".
In the center of the diagram there is a circle labeled "Preoccupation Anticipation" which represents the anticipation of the anticipation. The red circles represent the receptors that are responsible for the anticipation while the green circles represent receptors that help to regulate the anticipation and prevent the anticipation from entering the brain and preventing it from entering. The diagram also shows that the receptors are located on the right side of this brain and that they are located near the top right corner where they can be accessed through the withdrawal of negative affect.
